Groups

Groups help you organize phrases into logical collections so you can manage, enable, and trigger them more efficiently.

What Are Groups?

A Group is a container for phrases.

You can use Groups to:

  • Organize phrases by event, project, or client
  • Separate rehearsal content from live content
  • Enable or disable entire sets of phrases at once
  • Keep large libraries manageable

There are two types of groups in Action Phrase:

  • Manual Groups
  • Smart Groups

Manual Groups

Manual Groups allow you to explicitly choose which phrases belong inside.

  • You add phrases directly to the group.
  • Only the phrases you select appear inside.
  • You control membership manually.

Smart Groups

Smart Groups automatically include phrases based on tags. Instead of manually adding phrases, you define criteria — and matching phrases are included automatically.

Accessing Groups

You access Groups in one of two ways:

  • Tab Layout: Groups is located under the Phrases tab. Tap on the Phrases title or tap the More Menu and choose Groups.
  • Sidebar Layout: Tap on Groups from the sidebar.

All Phrases Toggle

Enabling the All Phrases toggle immediately makes all active phrases available for recognition when listening. You will not be able to enable or disable groups in this mode.

Group Toggles

When the All Phrases toggle is disabled, groups will be enabled throughout Action Phrase. Tap on the radio buttons on the far right of the group to enable or disable a group.

Only those phrases contained in an enabled group will be available for recognition by Action Phrase.
